Way to go Congressman Periello and Senator Warner! This make perfect sense. The D-Day Memorial secured the funds a long time ago to build the memorial. The U.S. Park Service is just taking over the management and maintenance. In the whole scheme of things, this will cost tax payers very little and it honors all Americans who sacrificed on the "Longest Day."
Congressman Tom Periello introduce the bill on the floor of the House of Representatives today and Senator Mark Warner will introduce it on the Senate floor tomorrow. We make leaders in this state. Again, way to go Congressman Periello and Senator Warner!
