Roanoke City Manager to retire March of 2010

It appears the rumors of Roanoke City Manager's departure were true. As reported in the Roanoke Times and WDBJ 7 (CBS), Darlene Burcham will retire in March of 2010. While her tenure as City Manager was marked by her strong and abrasive management style, she did last as one of the longest serving local government Administrators in the Roanoke Valley region. It's time for a change.
