As the calls for South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford's resignation grow louder, The State Newspaper has obtained the travel records for Governor Sanford that show his whereabouts was unknown 38 times during 2008 and 39 times for the first six months of 2009. It has been reported that Mark Sanford was being considered for the VP slot on the ticket with Senator John McCain during the 2008 Presidential Race and he was also considering making his own run for President in 2012.
It is safe to say that those aspirations are officially gone. It remains to be scene if Sanford can make the case to remain South Carolina's Governor given that key members of the South Carolina GOP leadership are also calling for his ouster. The Mark Sanford political death watch continues...
